Matt D asked:
I have a Health Savings Account through work that I added my wife too. Does this mean I have to file jointly with her, or will we still be able to file separately if the figures come out better that way?

You don’t have to file a joint return, but if filing separately seems to come out better, check your numbers carefully to be sure you haven’t made a mistake. Unless one of you has very high unreimbursed medical bills or employee business expenses, that just doesn’t happen - and remember, if one of you itemizes, the other can’t take a standard deduction.
